A team of scientists from the ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratories in Kyoto and the Honda Research Institute in Saitama, have developed a means of controlling a robotic hand by thought. The system uses Magnetic Resonance Imaging) MRI to scan a subjects brain waves to recognise patterns and recreates them through the robotic hand. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the system, they have
developed a game of paper rock scissors.
